Band This Week: April 16-20, Tour!, Class Schedule

Hi All!

Thank you to everyone that made this weekend so amazing for the Reynolds Music Program!

Thank you to our Senior Concert Band and Drumline for their performances at Lakehill Little League on Saturday! Reynolds kids were flexible, patient with the time lines, and classy as always. Bravo to Emily Green for stepping up and volunteering to sing O’ Canada – Great work!  Thank you to the amazing students and parents (Rob de Lange, Nicolle Underwood, Stefan Niemann, Andrea Lauzon, and Ann-Marie Gilbert to name a few!) that came to the school to help with loading gear, helped with set-up, and helped with tear down. We couldn’t have done it without you!

The Manure Sale was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who volunteered for shifts, stayed late to clean-up, and helped support this massive undertaking! Thank you to Tracy Byrne, Tracy Laramee, John Walmsley, and Mel & Dean Ozard, John Hall and Dale Lyne for all of their hard work “behind the… mound…?” to make this fundraiser so successful. We ALL appreciate it! 🙂

Don’t forget to check out the pictures posted to Instagram and the music homepage!

Congratulations to Miss Kerr’s Vocal Jazz for winning the Gardiner Shield for Outstanding Choral Performance by a Secondary School Choir at the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival last week! Bravo! We are all proud of you!

Finally, good luck to everyone who submitted auditions for the BC Honour Bands and Choirs!

… and I am SO excited! Thank you tour band members and parents for attending the information meeting on Thursday night. I am really looking forward to the next week. While we will be performing and doing musical activities, the big focus of this tour is team-building for the junior bands (the future of the Reynolds Bands!).  I am delighted to have an amazing team of chaperones who will provide the highest standard of care for kids. Thank you Ms. Kerr, Bobbi Renton, Marilyn Miller, Neala St. Hilaire, and Cheryl McKinnon!

Good luck with packing! Don’t forget to bring some warm clothes!

PLEASE make sure your full uniform is packed IN YOUR BACK PACK. It must be accessible as we are performing on Monday!

Loading crew! See you at 5:00am. Everyone else – See you at 5:15am!
