One of our Biggest Fundraising Events of the Year
We collect Christmas trees by donation to be recycled. Thanks to our sponsors Alpine Disposal and Michell Bros Farms Composting for donating their services. Students collect and prune the trees, and stack them in large disposal bins provided by Alpine. The trees will then be taken to Michell Bros Farms for composting. Parents are needed to supervise and help direct students and traffic. It’s fun, it’s social and it’s a great way to prolong that holiday spirit! Students will earn a wage for their shift which will be credited to their student music accounts.
We need many hands to make this event work so please consider reserving one of the dates below for volunteering. We require a minimum 2 adults per shift, and ideally 8 students per shift.
- wear warm work clothing – it may be cold or wet and it WILL be messy – work gloves will be provided
- bring water & a snack (we will try and provide hot beverages)
- go before you leave (the school washroom facilities will not be open)
Conduct: Students are expected to show up on time for their respective shift with appropriate clothing, be respectful and courteous to customers, and be expected to answer any media questions appropriately (what the music program is about, the values of Reynolds, and what our purpose is). Swearing or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and its expected you will carry out instructions from adult volunteers.
