Chamber Choir auditions are tomorrow after schooling the choir room- Wednesday, March 14th (if you can’t do tomorrow after school just let me know and I’ll arrange another time with you). Everyone will sing a chromatic scale and a whole tone scale. After a successful audition, our grade 12 student Evan Overman, has been chosen for the Dennis Wick Canadian Wind Orchestra. What’s the Dennis Wick Orchestra? It is a project of MusicFest Canada that brings “the best of the best” young musicians from across Canada to Toronto for a week of rehearsing and performance. The Orchestra is led by co-conductors Dr. Gillian MacKay (U of T) and Dr. Mark Hopkins (Acadia U). The week starts on Sunday, May 13, 2018 and wraps up on Friday May 18. Hello all, It’s finally here, Spamalot Week!! Doing a 6 day run of the show makes for a lot of exhausted kids and teachers. In order to make it through this week I will be cancelling all before and after school rehearsals this week.
