Hi Band Camp Volunteers!
I hope you are excited for our mini band trip to Camp Imadene with the Cedar Hill Middle School Band. Thank you for volunteering your time to do this and for being so organized with getting your forms and payments in. Thank you to Mrs. Romphf, Bobbi Renton, Marilyn Miller, and the CHMS chaperones that are joining us. Thank you to Marcus and Jordyn for helping with “pre-packing” on Saturday afternoon!
Your responsibilities as a band camp leader are:
1.) Help to ensure a SAFE, FUN, and MUSICAL experience for our friends from Cedar Hill.
2.) Assist with supervision during wide games, meals, breaks etc. and in the Imadene Cabins on Monday night.
3.) Assist with Music and Management: model great playing to the Grade 8s, assist with set-up and tear-down of the rehearsal room, handing out music, percussion set-up, etc.
4.) Act as a “loading crew” and load instrument cases, luggage, etc. on and off of the coaches.
5.) You have been excused from classes on Tuesday. Please check in with your teachers ASAP to catch up on missed work.
Please meet in the Reynolds Band Room for 8:30am. We will need to load all of our percussion and gear onto the coaches when they arrive. 🙂
DO. NOT. FORGET. THESE. ITEMS 🙂 :
BAG LUNCH/SNACKS FOR MONDAY
SLEEPING BAG / PILLOW
WARM CLOTHES (JUST IN CASE…)
ANY MEDICATION YOU REQUIRE
We aim to be back at Reynolds for 3:15pm on Tuesday. Please stick around to help put percussion away, gear and trap cases back into the storage rooms, etc. With 32 of us working at it, it will go quickly! Thank you in advance for helping with this. 🙂
There are will be 100 students travelling to Camp Imadene so flexibility and patience will be required. Successful Reynolds Band trips/tours have incorporated the motto “Group first, self second” with all participants working together to make the best team travel experience possible. Thank you for your leadership and hard work! It’s going to be a great trip!
Please email me if you have any questions. See you at 8:30am on Monday!
