Band This Week: April 1 – 5

Band This Week: April 1 – 5

Hello from Redding California!

We have had an incredible senior tour! The Blue Band and Senior Choir have performed well and we have had some outstanding clinics and learning opportunities! Thank you to Bobbi Renton and Marilyn Miller for all of their work planning our tour and for all of their care and time while we are on the road. Our loading crew has been outstanding as well! This tour (my first senior tour with Reynolds) will always be special to me – thank you to our incredible students and chaperones! Do check out our photos on Instagram and Facebook – use the links on the homepage!

We are currently traveling back through California and Oregon. We will be catching the 5:00pm ferry back to Victoria on Monday night. Ms. Kerr and I will be back to classes on Tuesday.

Marching Band had an EXCELLENT start before we hit Spring Break (90% attendance! WOW!)! A HUGE thank you to all of our senior band members who were SO helpful and kind to our junior band members. Excellent leadership, folks!

Congratulations to Grade 11 students Jordan Cowan! Jordan has been playing timpani and percussion with the University of Victoria Wind Symphony and performed with the band on Friday evening! Way to go Jordan – we are SO proud of you!

Welcome back! The next few months will move QUICKLY – please stay in the loop and be connected through Facebook, Instagram, and this website (thank you Andrea!!). More importantly be present in classes, practice, work hard, and keep being the outstanding young people that make Reynolds a wonderful place to learn AND teach.

Yours truly,

Jamie Davis
