Thank you for all of your hard work last week – It was a busy one with tour rehearsals, marching band, and end of term! I am currently updating our performance calendar for the last few months of school. I hope to have it out to families this week – apologies for the delay!
Please note: There is no Sr. Concert Band performance on April 18th as I am away on the Jr. Tour. 🙂
RMPA & Manure Sale: Thank you to everyone that came to the RMPA meeting on Thursday evening – your support is truly appreciated! A big heaping thank you to all of those students and parents that made our annual manure sale a success! Thank you to all of the students and parents that stayed until the end to clean up as well.
Provincial Honour Ensembles: Good luck to Bella, Alex, Kieran, Jordyn, Kate, Serena, Owen, and Emil! All of them submitted auditions for the BCMEA Honour Wind Ensemble this week! We should know the results within the next month. 🙂
Lakehill Little League: Finally, thank you Blue Band & Drumline for your performance at Lakehill Little League on Saturday morning! The Reynolds Band has performed at the opening ceremonies for 52 consecutive years. It was cold and wet but you were total rockstars out there – you played very well, rolled with the changes, and were patient/supportive of the whole process! Bravo, team! Thank you to our student loading crew and parent drivers that helped transport everything to and from the school.
Junior Band & Choir Tour Leaves TOMORROW!
We are off to Calgary tomorrow with Green Band and Junior Choir! Thank you to our loading crew volunteers who helped pack all the necessary gear we need for tour on Friday and Saturday!
LUNCH: Make sure you pack a bagged lunch for Monday as we are heading directly to Kamloops. Pack any snacks and a water bottle, too!
UNIFORMS: Green Band uniforms must be accessible as we have a concert tomorrow afternoon in Kamloops. PLEASE do not pack your uniform in your suitcase – hang it on a hanger and cover it with a garbage bag (with your name on it). Please make sure your pants and dress shirt are clean and wrinkle-free, your blue tie is packed, your sweater is packed, your shoes are clean, and you have a pair of LONG white socks.
INSTRUMENTS & MUSIC FOLDERS: If you brought your instrument/music home to practice, please make sure you bring them tomorrow morning! Ensure you have mouthpieces, reeds, ligatures, etc. Loading crew members will direct where you need to drop your instrument, folder, and luggage.
LOADING CREW CALL TIME: 5:00am
FULL BAND/CHOIR CALL TIME: 5:15am
SEE YOU TOMORROW! 🙂
