Congratulations to the cast, crew, and pit band of “Sister Act” – your performance at the Performing arts variety show was outstanding. Bravo! I can’t wait for Spring when we get to perform the entire show.
Rehearsal attendance is extremely important this week! Please make sure you are prepared and ready to work. I’m so excited to hear you in performance this week! It’s the last week of school and the program remains busier than ever ! Stay in the loop and take care of yourself and each other. Here we go!

Friday – Band 10 in A Block. Band 11/12 in B Block. (Shortened classes! Non-playing!)

2.) Morning, Lunch, After School Rehearsals
Monday – Blue Band Rehearsal at 7:15am. Carol Band Rehearsal at Lunch. Pit Orchestra rehearsal after school 3:15pm – 5:00pm.
Tuesday – Junior Jazz Band at 7:15am. Intermediate Jazz Band at Lunch. Winter Concert #1 Set-up after school!
Wednesday – Senior Jazz Band at 7:15am. Junior Jazz Band at Lunch. Winter Concert #2 Set-up after school!
Thursday – No morning rehearsal. No lunch rehearsal. Pit Orchestra rehearsal after school 3:15pm – 5:00pm.
Friday – No morning, lunch or after school rehearsals. Music Council’s “BandCake Breakfast” starts at 7:30am (All students welcome! Volunteer pancake-flippers are needed at 6:30am!). Winter Assembly and line dancing at 12:15pm (Drumline and Carol Band perform!)

Monday, December 17 – Glengarry Hospital Performance (Glengarry Hospital – 1780 Fairfield Road. Perform 2:00pm – 2:30pm.)
(1:45pm call time, casual but neat attire, use folding stands. – Please arrange rides, carpool, bus, etc. You are excused from the end of C Block and all of D Block.)
Tuesday, December 18 – Reynolds Winter Concert Night Pre-Show (Reynolds Gymnasium. Perform 6:35pm – 6:50pm)
(6:00pm call time, wear the first uniform you perform in, use folding stands)
Friday, December 21 – “How The Roadrunner Stole Christmas” (Reynolds Gymnasium. Perform at 12:15pm)
(12:00pm call time, casual attire, use Manhasset stands)
4.) Winter Concerts – Tuesday and Wednesday THIS WEEK
Our full music program Winter ConcertS are on Tuesday, December 18th and Wednesday, December 19th in the Reynolds gymnasium. Both concerts begin at 7:00pm and will feature bake sales organized by our fabulous RMPA volunteers!
We respectfully ask that all STUDENTS stay until the END of the concert. Senior students are expected to arrive early to support junior students. Junior students are expected to remain until the end of the concert to support (and learn from!) the senior ensembles.
Tuesday’s concert: will feature our Carol Band, Green (Junior, Grades 9/10) Band, Blue (Senior, Grade 11/12) Band, Junior Choir, Senior Choir and Strings. Student call time is 6:00pm for BAND and STRINGS (5:40pm if in CHOIR – meet in the gym, please) wearing the uniform of the ensemble that you perform with first.
Wednesday’s concert: will feature our Junior, Intermediate, & Senior Jazz Bands and Vocal Jazz. Student call time is 6:00pm, wearing the uniform of the ensemble that you perform with first.
BAKING NEEDED! Bake Sale – Items can be brought to my office at any time on Tuesday or Wednesday. Please label your containers and include ingredients. 🙂
HELP NEEDED! Set-up Crew – We are in need of 12 students each night to help with concert set-up and transitions between ensembles. Please sign up on the door in the band room. Thank you!
