Congratulations! We made it through the last 19 week of January! Nice!
Thanks for a great week and strong start to Semester 2 at Reynolds! We will continue to sight-read new charts this week and start “digging in” to the repertoire we read last week in classes/rehearsals. Please make sure you are practicing for all of the ensembles that you are involved in!
Thank you to our Drumline for their performances on Saturday night at the UVic Vikes Basketball Games and a big thanks to all the parents that helped with carpooling!
Congratulations to Ms. Kerr and her Vocal Jazz students for an outstanding performance on Saturday at the Oak Bay vocal jazz event! Bravo! 🙂
Pit Orchestra ran the entire show this afternoon and we are in EXCELLENT shape! Thank you for your hard work! Please remember: this is the same music that the pros play on BROADWAY and THE WEST END, etc. There are no “arrangements” or adaptations for young players / high school musicians. 🙂 I am proud of all of you and hope you are proud of yourselves!
Have a great week!

3.) Uniforms Update
Lost/Found: There were a number of full uniforms, shoes, and various bits and pieces of uniforms left in the band room after the yearbook photos a few weeks ago. Please pick them up this week and take them home. 🙂
Pant Hems: While we don’t have any concerts that require full band uniforms in the next couple weeks, please take a moment to try on your white pants and check the hemming. When standing up, the bottom of your pants should touch the surface of your shoe. Please re-hem your pants or have them re-hemmed if you grown. This is especially important for marching band members! Thank you for helping to maintain the exceptional appearance of our bands.
