Band This Week: October 19-23, Thursday Schedule Change

Hi Everyone!

Thanks to everyone that came out to Blue Band on Friday! Great rehearsal, folks! 

Band 9 and 10 – thank you for being so organized and knowing where and when to be last week with our new schedule! 

Please be prepared for our rehearsals this week as all of our bands are working towards recording numbers for an ONLINE “BACK IN ACTION CONCERT” at the beginning of November!

1.) AB Block Classes

AB Block Schedule Information for Band 9/10 and PE 9/10 can be found HERE

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY and PLEASE NOTE: .
 
Step 1: Know your Band/PE group # and colour (these are now posted in the display case outside of the band room.)
Step 2: Figure our where and when you need to be with the schedule provided (match your colours up). Class change will happen at 10:15am to coincide with Mr. Gray’s class break. 
Step 3: Mini DAILY schedules have been provided for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (Check my Instagram – @reynolds.band – for the daily schedule!).
2.) Before School, Lunch, After-school Rehearsals
***Please note schedule changes in red.***
Monday: Band 11 is CANCELLED (BUT BLUE BAND is rehearsing on Thursday AM!), Drumline rehearsal at Lunch, Pit Orchestra at 3:00pm/Theatre Set-up when done.
Tuesday: Jr. Jazz Band at 7:30am, Extra Help Available at Lunch, No After-school Rehearsal/Theatre Set-Up.
Wednesday: Sr. Jazz Band at 7:30am, Drumline at Lunch (Outside), No After-school Rehearsal/Theatre Set-up
Thursday:  FULL BLUE BAND (Band 11 and 12) REHEARSAL IN THE GYM AT 7:30AM TO TEST AUDIO AND VIDEO RECORDING FOR REMEMBRANCE DAY OBSERVANCES (**If you are in strings go to Strings for 7:30am and come to the gym for 8:00am) , INTERMEDIATE JAZZ BAND REHEARSAL at LUNCH in the Theatre, Pit Band at 3:00pm (
Friday: NONE! Pro D Day!!
3.) Set-up And Tear Down
Thank you to everyone that helped me with set-up and tear down last week. The Band Program is now spread between three rooms and a hallway which makes it basically impossible for me to do set-up by myself anymore. Thank you to Ms. Kerr, Mr. Gray, Wes Winter, our Admin-Team and my grade 12s for supporting me and helping me figure out how to make all of this work! 
ALL BAND 9 and BAND 10 CLASSES AND JAZZ BANDS NOW REHEARSE IN THE THEATRE
BLUE BAND WILL REHEARSE IN THE GYM ON FRIDAYS. HELP IS NEEDED with gym set-up at 7:00am. 🙂
PIT ORCHESTRA WILL REHEARSE IN THE BAND ROOM
EVERYONE MUST HELP WITH TEAR DOWN AT THE END OF B BLOCK (music stands must be racked properly and moved into the hallway, band chairs must be stacked on the carts at the front of the room, percussion and amplifiers must be sanitized and moved into the hallway by the kitchen).
Set-up for the next day’s rehearsal will occur at the end of the last class of the day. Thank you Pit Band members and Ms. Kerr’s musical theatre students for helping with the band set-up on Mondays and Thursdays. Thank you to Mr. Gray’s senior theatre class for helping me with set-up on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
