Band This Week: Sept. 30 – Oct. 4 / C4C, Drumline Gigs, Uniforms

Hi Everyone!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I can’t believe that it’s almost October!

All of our ensembles are now up and running after great Green Band and Pit Orchestra rehearsals last week! Thank you to Principal’s Advisory for an excellent pancake breakfast for Green Band on Friday AM!

If you have not done so already, please make sure you are making “home practice” part of your weekly routine. We have had a great start – let’s keep the momentum going!

Our first band concert of the year – The Back In Action Concert! – is on Tuesday, November 5th at 7:00pm in the Reynolds Gym. Our fall all-bands concert features the Green and Blue Bands plus the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Jazz Bands.

With thanks,

Jamie Davis

Cops for Cancer Update

Thank you to everyone that participated in the Cops 4 Cancer Bottle Drive and Car Wash on Saturday. The Bottle Drive raised $948 – combine that with the Car Wash proceeds and Reynolds students and parents made $2800!

Reynolds Music has 6 days left to raise money for C4C! Help us reach our goal of $2500!

The Reynolds Music Program is participating in Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society. Our goal is to raise $2500 and upon completion, all members of the music program will be dyeing their hair blue. If we are able to raise $5000, Ms. Kerr will be dyeing her hair blue and Mr.Davis will be dyeing his beard and eyebrows blue!

What can you do to help?

Get the word out! Download an information bulletin and email it to your family members, friends, relatives, co-workers, ANYBODY in your network! Parents, if you can help your kids email aunts, uncles, etc. it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your help and support!
