Choir/String and Musical Theatre Updates March 2-8

WHAT A WEEK!
Bravo to our Musical theatre Cast, Crew and Pit Band on an absolutely outstanding first week of performances! You have been receiving rave reviews from everyone that has come to see the show and I am absolutely blown away by your high level of performance quality and dedication to a professional production. I am incredibly proud of you all, thank you for coming on this journey with me and I hope this is a show that you will treasure for years to come – I know I will!  And if you haven’t seen it, we are SOLD OUT, ask around if people have tickets but I have nothing left.  This show is full of beautiful music, hilarious characters, outstanding costumes and set design pieces – you are GUARANTEED to leave with a smile. THESE KIDS WILL BLOW YOU AWAY. Thank you to the parents, teachers, staff, community members and administrators that have come out to support the show so far!

MUSICAL THEATRE SHOW WEEK #2:

SHOWS ARE NOW ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY AT 7:30 PM and SUNDAY at 4PM

Show Shirts- We have ordered a few more shirts for those of you that missed our first run of shirts. thanks to Andrea de Lange for organizing this and Serena Lam for designing our shirts this year. I’ll let you know when these shirts are in and they will be $20.

Junior Tour Room Sign Up is in the Band Room, please ensure you have signed up for a room this week!

The Senior Tour Meeting has been changed for March 10 at 6:30pm in the Band Room. You AND YOUR PARENTS MUST ATTEND to GET YOUR FORMS NOTARIZED FOR TRAVEL BY A LAWYER. Failure to do so will result in you having to get forms notarized yourself which will have a cost attached to it. Thank you to Bobbi and Marilyn for all of their work on this outstanding tour, I am so excited!

Monday, March 2:

3:15-3:30 Musical Theatre Quick Meeting We will meet in the theatre to quickly decide if we want to do a Saturday Matinee. Please check your schedules.

Tuesday, March 3:

 7:15- 8:20AM Junior Choir I will see you at early morning rehearsal this week. We need to work on our Tour Music this week and ensure you have signed up for rooms for the Edmonton Tour. EVERYONE needs to attend this week to work on music:)
 11:17-12:12 Vocal Jazz Let’s work on our new music and we can discuss a spring retreat as well:)
3:25-4:30 Senior Choir  CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS- Please go home and take care of yourselves and catch up on Homework. I miss making music with you, but we need to get through Musical week healthy and able to put on a great show:)

Wednesday, March 4:

7:15-8:20 Strings See you bright and early to work on our new music and to sign up for Playing test times…these are due by March 13.
 Junior Choir CANCELLED, Musical theatre has a dress rehearsal right after school instead, please practice your Tour Music this week!
3:25-5:30 MUSICAL THEATRE DRESS REHEARSAL   all cast crew and Pit Band are in right after school , we will run a few sections of the show I want to polish and then you will be dismissed early. GO TO BED EARLY!

Thursday, March 5:

7:30PM CLOSING NIGHT Show #6 OF NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, followed by a celebration after the show from 10-12:00 at Reynolds, there will be lots of food and we will do Techies/Bandies revenge, dance, karaoke and celebrate another great run of shows! This will still be happening, yay!
SUNDAY, March 8

We will be doing a special performance of Nice Work If You Can Get It to make up for our Cancelled show from THURSDAY. YOU MUST HAVE A NEW TICKET WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THURSDAY TICKETS, please email Ms. Kerr if you need to exchange or get a refund, otherwise we will sell any extra ones that are available starting on Friday afternoon.

SHOW IS AT 4PM, call time is 1:30 for Cast and Crew and Pit Band. Doors open at 3:30 for the public. Thank you to everyone that responded so quickly and made this transition go smoothly, we appreciate it!
