Hello all, I hope you had a fantastic long weekend!
Firstly, a HUGE congratulations to Mr. Davis and the Reynolds Marching Band/Colour Party for their outstanding performance at the Victoria Day Parade! I know how hard you all worked and all the mornings that were dedicated to making this performance a success. It just goes to show that hard work pays off and is all worth it in the end, I am so proud of you all and our fearless Band Director, BRAVO! Thank you to the wonderful parent volunteers that help our kids be successful and hydrated, you rock!
Thank you to Reynolds Vocal Jazz for performing last week for the incoming Grade 9’s, you all did a fantastic job and got the kids super excited about singing at Reynolds! Thank you to our amazing String Students for a great District rehearsal with Esquimalt, Oak Bay and Mt. Doug students, you were sounding fantastic and I can’t wait to hear you at UVic on Tuesday (tomorrow)! Despite a tiring and busy schedule our musicians are really coming through and I am so proud of all that you have accomplished so far!
Now on to the next big thing!! I hope you got some rest in this weekend because we have a lot more going on to end our year in the music program! Please ensure you put some practice time in before I see you tomorrow (in ALL Choral and String classes). Reminder that our Choir/Strings Concert is coming up in just over 3 weeks on June 12 at St. Dunstan’s Church. We have lots to cover, so make sure you are on time and prepared this week. Let’s have fun and make incredible music!:)
