Choir/Strings/Musical Theatre Updates for Sept 21-25

Hello all!
I am so excited that our out of timetable classes will be up and running this week – I am so looking forward to seeing you all in person and making some great music together!
If you have not already done so, please take a look at our Safety Plan for all of our classes here >>> Reynolds Music Safety Plan DRAFT-2
CHOIR AND STRINGS students please fill out the Google Form here by MONDAY (tomorrow) >>> https://reynoldsmusic.ca/choir-and-strings-google-form/
Please have what you need to be successful and safe – that means showing up on time to wash and sanitize your hands and bringing a clean mask to school for rehearsals. I would recommend if you are in choir to have a couple of masks for the day – one for choir and one for your other classes.
It is Musical Theatre Audition week, so be prepared for a busy few days. I hope you can all come to the meeting on Monday to get all the info you need to feel prepared and be successful! We are trying everything out over ZOOM, so that should be an experience for everyone!:)

Here is the schedule for the week:

Monday, September 21:

7:30-8:30 AM SENIOR VOCAL JAZZ. Rehearsal in the THEATRE. This will be a rehearsal for returning students in this group and anyone I have specifically spoken to…I will still be hearing auditions later on this day so do not worry, you still have an opportunity to be in this group via the audition process. Our Junior Jazz will start up in the Spring.
2:45-3:15 VOCAL JAZZ AUDITIONS, anyone that has signed up will come to the band room and I will individually take students in to audition. Auditioning students should have a jazz standard prepared to sing for their audition and I will do some vocalizing and scale work as well.
6:00-6:45PM MUSICAL THEATRE INFORMATIONAL ZOOM MEETING. If you are interested in auditioning for our CAST for FREAKY FRIDAY this year or would like to join our TECH CREW please join us via ZOOM to hear about the audition process (it will be a bit different this year!), what you need to have prepared and what to expect! I will go over rehearsal days, expectations, safety protocols for this year, performances…all the important stuff. This will also be a time to answer any questions you might have about auditions, the show or this course. I am looking forward to seeing you all:)
