Huge congratulations to my Choir and Strings students for an outstanding concert last week! It just happened to be the two hottest days of the year, but you pushed through and made incredible music, I am so very proud of you. Thank you to the parents that stayed and cleaned up and brought fans in to keep us cool and a HUGE thank you to Mr. Davis who helped with various tasks throughout the week including ushering the kids on and off stage during the concert, I couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you to the parents and friends that came to the concert, your donations were generous and your support and standing ovation amidst a VERY HOT day are so appreciated, thank you! I am already looking into venues with air conditioning for next year hahaha!
MUSIC GRADS you will be so incredibly missed in our Music Department next year. This has been a year of growth and change for the better and with you we have created a truly inclusive and supportive Music Department. Not only that, but we have made some incredible music together that I will never forget! Your leadership, talent and heart has shaped the tone that I hope carries on for years to come at Reynolds. You were a big part of that and I am so excited to see where you all go from here. Continue to lead with kindness and courage and know that you have two VERY PROUD music teachers that will always be here to back you up. I can’t wait to see you you walk in your caps and gowns on Tuesday- congratulations!!
MUSIC GRAD DINNER, we are hoping to go out to Bin 4 for dinner with all of our music grads on the Sunday after the band Concert, please sign up on my office door after lunch tomorrow! Please be prepared to pay for your meal, but we will spend time together and celebrate all of your successes this year!
CHOIR AND STRINGS STUDENTS: Please hand in your Choir binder and Strings folders this week. If you need to borrow it, you must ask permission before doing so, I need to do inventory in order to place a new order for binders in the fall. Please leave all music inside and put it into the proper slot in the cabinets in the Annex – I will leave it open this week. CHOIR GRADS you can keep your binders if you want OR you can donate them, BUT CHOIR GRADUATES MUST HAND IN THEIR CHOIR SCARF. Please drop them off to me this week, preferably in a baggie with your name on it.
